UnityPoint Health has recognized 41 nurses practicing at UnityPoint Health facilities and affiliates across Iowa who have been selected as 2024 Great Iowa Nurses, a news release says.

This prestigious award annually recognizes nurses for their outstanding contributions to their patients, team members and the nursing profession.

“I’m incredibly proud of our nurse honorees and I’m truly grateful for the positive impact they’ve made on the lives of others,” said UnityPoint Health Chief Nursing Officer Sarah Brown. “They go above and beyond every day, providing the care experience we want our own loved ones to receive.”

This year’s list of honorees includes Quad Cities market team member Stephanie Moore, RN, who works for UnityPoint Health – Trinity. Moore has been with UnityPoint Health for 33 years and currently supports the Emergency Department.

“We’re pleased to honor the work of an amazing team member,” says Jane Denten, MSN, chief nursing officer, UnityPoint Health – Trinity. “Stephanie is seen as a strong team leader, showing confidence under pressure and able to keep her coworkers motivated and positive.”

Moore’s nominator and 2014 Great Iowa Nurse Tosha Allen, DNP, RN, emergency department manager, says, “Steph is exceptional with patient care, working hard to make them comfortable in often uncomfortable situations.”

Great Iowa Nurses annually accepts nominations for Iowa-licensed nurses who have made a significant contribution to the profession. The 2024 award recipients will be honored during a virtual recognition ceremony this spring. For more information, visit here.
